102.4M Passengers in 2023 with Affordable, Quality Service

In 2023, Konya Metropolitan Municipality provided high-standard transportation services by adding new buses to its fleet and carrying a large number of passengers.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they are putting intense effort into providing public transportation services of the highest standards in Turkey's largest geographical area of 42,000 square kilometers and the 6th largest city in terms of population.

Mayor Altay, stating that they continue to provide services of very high standards in urban transportation, mentioned the following: "Last year, with our strengthened public transportation fleet consisting of new buses, we covered a distance of 32,142,680 kilometers, completing 889,016 trips. Our buses carried 71,329,828 passengers during this distance. Our trams, on the other hand, made 92,610 trips, reaching a total of 31,085,377 passengers. In summary, with our buses and trams, we transported a total of 102,415,205 passengers in the past year, providing public transportation services to the citizens. While offering this service to the public, we also provided the cheapest transportation in Turkey. Despite the size of Konya, we will continue to provide service in this regard. In addition, with the year 2024, we lowered the monthly student subscription prices from 240 lira to 220 lira, providing extra support to our students' budgets."
