The Life Support Center for Individuals with Down Syndrome (DOSD Meram), established under the initiative of Meram Municipality, has once again held a meaningful event for children with special needs.
This time, children with Down syndrome receiving education at the center had the opportunity to touch the soil and plant seedlings. During the event held in the training and practice area of DOSD Meram, the seedlings produced by Konya Fide—an initiative also launched by Meram Municipality—were planted in the soil by the hands of these special children.
In addition to the children, their families, instructors, and specialists also took part in the event. The children first tilled the soil and then carefully planted the seedlings in the prepared areas.
Throughout the day, spent in close connection with nature, there was both great effort and an indescribable sense of joy. Mehmet Munlafalıoğlu, President of the DOSD Meram Association, also joined the children and their families during this special event.
