Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues to carry out various initiatives to promote cycling culture in Konya, the city of bicycles.
As part of this effort, the program “Cycling in the Footsteps of Keykubad” featured a camping bike ride from Seydişehir’s Tınaztepe Cave to the ancient city of Çatalhöyük.
The first day of the “Cycling in the Footsteps of Keykubad” tour, which brought together many participants from Konya and other cities, began in front of Seydişehir’s Tınaztepe Cave and passed through Gölcük Plateau, Sorkun, Dereköy, Çağlayan neighborhoods, Bozkır town center, Yolören, Apasaraycık, and Apa neighborhoods, as well as Mavi Boğaz, before concluding at the Çumra Apa Sports Konya Campground.
On the second day, the tour started from the campground, passing through the neighborhoods of Dineksaray, Yenisu, and Balçıkhisar. After visiting Gökhüyük neighborhood and Timraş Sinkhole, it continued to Çumra town center and concluded at the ancient city of Çatalhöyük.
Cycling enthusiasts who joined the tour experienced unforgettable moments amid Konya’s natural, historical, and cultural treasures.
