Konya is experiencing the spirit of Eid al-Adha as the first day of the holiday brings a lively and spiritual atmosphere across the city. Residents gathered at mosques early in the morning for Eid prayers, while families and visitors filled the streets throughout the day.

As one of Türkiye’s leading cultural and spiritual destinations, Konya attracts many local tourists during religious holidays. Areas around the Mevlana Museum have seen increased activity as visitors explore the city’s historical and spiritual landmarks during the Eid holiday.

Animal sacrifice areas were busy from the early hours of the morning, while municipal teams continued cleaning and inspection efforts across the city to ensure a safe and orderly holiday environment. Authorities have also taken various measures at designated sacrifice points to maintain hygiene and public order.

Traditional flavors of Konya cuisine are also part of the holiday celebrations. Local specialties such as etliekmek, oven kebab, okra soup, and traditional desserts are being served during family gatherings and Eid visits.

Parks, public squares, and social areas across the city remain active throughout the day as residents celebrate the holiday together. With its rich cultural heritage and spiritual atmosphere, Konya continues to reflect the sense of unity and solidarity associated with Eid al-Adha.
