Organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of National Education, the sixth edition of the “Konya Mind and Intelligence Games Competition” was once again filled with great excitement this year. The event aims to increase students’ interest in mind and intelligence games and to train students who will represent Konya in national tournaments.
The sixth edition of the Mind and Intelligence Games, organized in cooperation with Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, was held with the participation of primary and secondary school students from all 31 districts.
Konya Provincial Director of National Education, Murat Yiğit, who attended the provincial final of the competition held at the Karatay Youth Center, stated that the Mind and Intelligence Games offer children the opportunity to learn while having fun. He said, “This competition holds great significance in helping our children better understand themselves and take more planned steps toward the future. I congratulate our provincial winners and all participants.”
Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca congratulated all the participants who put effort into the competition and also extended his thanks to the teachers and parents.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Ercan Uslu presented awards to the students who placed in the competition.
The participating students also expressed that they had fun while learning new things and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization.
In the highly competitive 6th Mind and Intelligence Games Competition, a total of 299 students who won first place in 10 different categories at the district level, along with their mentor teachers, competed in the provincial finals.
The first-place winners will represent Konya at the Turkey Championship, which will be held in Kars on May 23–25 in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and the All Mind and Intelligence Games Federation (TAZOF).
