The first-ever Konya Culture Days, organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, has opened its doors at Kültürpark.
Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said preserving and passing on the city’s deep-rooted cultural heritage to future generations is one of the municipality’s priorities, describing Konya Culture Days as one of the most significant initiatives supporting that vision.
Recalling that the event is being held under the slogan “Every Melody Tells a Story,” Altay said, “Our folk songs, minstrel tradition, and folk culture are among the most valuable elements that keep our nation’s collective memory alive. Through this event, we aim to preserve our cultural heritage while bringing our artists and handcrafted products together with the public. Most importantly, Konya Culture Days will introduce the unique cultural heritage of our districts to residents. I believe the three-day program will become a vibrant cultural festival offering something for people of all ages. I invite all our fellow citizens to join us at the events, which will continue until Sunday evening.”
