Konya Ready for Eid al-Fitr

Konya Metropolitan Municipality has taken the necessary measures to ensure a smooth celebration of Eid al-Fitr in Konya.

FREE PUBLIC TRANSPORT DURING EID

To make it easier for residents of Konya to visit family and friends during Eid, Konya Metropolitan Municipality has ensured that buses and trams will operate free of charge for the three days of the holiday. Public transport will follow the Sunday schedule during the festival.

PARKING LOTS FREE ON EVE AND DURING EID

All indoor parking lots operated under KONPARK, as well as roadside and open-air parking areas, will be free of charge from the day before Eid through the end of the holiday.

CEMETERIES READY FOR EID VISITS

The municipality has carried out cleaning and security measures at cemeteries to ensure citizens can visit graves without problems. During the holiday, the municipality will respond to complaints regarding air and noise pollution. Teams that began comprehensive cleaning in the city center before Eid will continue their work throughout the holiday.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ON DUTY

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department will continue its normal shifts during the holiday and maintain operations across the centers in all 31 districts. Citizens can report fires or similar emergencies to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

MUNICIPAL POLICE CONTINUE WORK DURING EID

The Municipal Police will remain on duty throughout Eid to respond to all kinds of citizen complaints. 

KOSKI AVAILABLE 24/7

The KOSKI General Directorate of Konya Metropolitan Municipality will provide 24-hour service for water, sewage, and meter issues throughout the city during the holiday. 

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAMS READY

During Eid, the municipality will also provide Emergency Response Teams to address road, sidewalk, pavement, and similar issues immediately.
