Meteor Shower Turns into Spectacle in Meram

The Meram Municipality Youth Council brought young people together in Meram Kızılören to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower, one of the most mesmerizing natural phenomena in the sky.

This visual spectacle, which peaked during the night hours, truly enchanted young astronomy enthusiasts. The stunning display of the night sky was also etched into memories through the events organized by the Meram Youth Council.

Gathered under Kızılören’s clear night sky, far from light pollution, the young attendees admired the breathtaking scene created by hundreds of meteors throughout the night.

As part of the event, young people from Meram also observed the night sky through telescopes. Additionally, guided by science teachers and astronomy experts, discussions were held about stars, planets, and meteor showers. The youth experienced an unforgettable night, not only through the wonders of the sky but also through the cultural and social atmosphere of the event. The program, filled with music performances, games, night walks, and conversations, offered participants both educational insights and enjoyable moments.
