New Roles for Mayor Pekyatırmacı at UCLG-MEWA

Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı assumed significant roles in line with the decisions taken at the UCLG-MEWA General Assembly and Executive Board Meeting. 

Mayor Pekyatırmacı, who took on the positions of UCLG World Council Member, UCLG-MEWA Executive Board Member, UCLG-ME- WA Council Member, Co-President of the Environment Committee, and Co-President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, stated that they have assumed important responsibilities to represent Türkiye on international platforms. The UCLG-MEWA General Assembly and Executive Board Meeting were held in Konya under the chairmanship of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and President of the World Organization of United Cities and Local Governments, Ugur İbrahim Altay. As a result of the General Assembly, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı was appointed as a UCLG World Council Member, UCLG-MEWA Executive Board Member, UCLG-MEWA Council Member, Co-President of the Environment Committee, and Co-President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Expressing that they have undertaken the responsibility of representing Türkiye on international platforms with the assignments made, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı said, "I wish the decisions taken at our meetings to be beneficial for our cities, our region, and our country; I would like to thank all member municipalities that supported us with their contributions and participation."
