Karatay Municipality has prepared a comprehensive program to enrich the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan with cultural, artistic, and social solidarity activities.
From theater performances to iftar organizations, and from children's activities to volunteer initiatives, a wide range of events will meet residents in line with the scheduled program.
The “Another Ramadan” theater performances, along with the Hacivat–Karagöz shadow play, will be staged at the Ali Ulvi Kurucu Youth Center and will meet audiences on different days throughout Ramadan, adding color to the evening programs.
As part of the “Five Minutes to Iftar” initiative, which brings the spirit of sharing during Ramadan into everyday life, volunteers from the Karatay Youth Council will distribute iftar meal packages every day at 16 different locations across the city, starting from the first day of Ramadan, to residents who are unable to make it to iftar on time. Within the scope of the program, a total of 10,000 iftar packages will be distributed to those who cannot reach iftar in time.
The iftar gatherings organized by the Karatay Youth Council Secondary Education Working Group, which aim to strengthen connections among young people, will be held at the Aziziye Cultural Center. Throughout Ramadan, iftar meals will be provided to 5,000 high school students studying in Karatay. Students will come together at the same table and share the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan.
Hasan Kılca, Mayor of Karatay, invited all residents to the events, emphasizing that the month of Ramadan strengthens unity and togetherness. Highlighting that Ramadan is a time of sharing, solidarity, and spiritual renewal, Kılca stated that Karatay Municipality has prepared a comprehensive program to experience the spirit of this blessed month together.
