The “Konya Local Dishes Competition,” organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Selçuk University under the motto “There Is a Competition on Konya’s Table,” has been completed.
The competition, which lasted four days and drew strong participation, was held across a total of 14 sessions.
In the event, where flavors unique to Konya cuisine took center stage, contestants presented traditional recipes to the jury, blending them with original and creative presentations.
In the competition, which was meticulously evaluated by a jury composed of experts in their fields, top-ranking participants were selected in each session, while the first-place winners earned the right to compete for the championship in the provincial final.
Highlighting Konya’s rich gastronomic heritage, the competition became an important meeting point by bringing together both professional and amateur participants.
In the final session of the last day of the competition, the top-ranking contestants and their dishes were as follows: Zeliha Samur placed first with Fırın Kebabı, Yeşim Gönül came second with Sac Arası, and Volkan Aydoğan finished third with Tirit.
The winners of the competition, which featured great excitement and consisted of 14 sessions, will compete for the championship in the provincial final.
