Konya Culture Route Festival Opens with Music and Cultural Events

The Konya Culture Route Festival has begun, bringing a vibrant program of music, traditional arts, exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events to venues across the city. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival continues to welcome visitors of all ages with activities celebrating Türkiye's rich cultural heritage.

As part of the festival, photography enthusiasts are capturing Konya's historic and cultural landmarks during FotoMaraton Konya, while a series of talks and workshops is bringing together participants interested in traditional arts.

At the Konya State Theatre, the concert "In the Footsteps of Minstrels: Opera in Anatolia" celebrated Anatolia's oral cultural heritage through the universal language of music. Presented under the theme "7 Regions, 7 Minstrels, 7 Works," the program featured performances of compositions by folk minstrels representing different regions of Türkiye.

Meanwhile, the Sema Ceremony held at the Mevlana Cultural Center's Sema Hall featured a performance by the Konya Turkish Sufi Music Ensemble. Conducted by Artistic Director Ufuk Yürüç, the program included a rendition of Bolahenk Nuri Bey's Buselik Ayin-i Şerifi.

The festival's concert series has also attracted large crowds. Popular Turkish pop singer Sinan Akçıl performed at Kılıçarslan City Square, entertaining thousands of fans with a selection of his best-known songs. The audience joined in throughout the concert, singing along to many of the performances.

The Konya Culture Route Festival continues with exhibitions, workshops, talks, concerts, and a wide range of cultural events across the city. As part of today's program, Seyfullah Sağır, better known by his stage name Sefo, will perform for music lovers at Kılıçarslan City Square.
