750th Anniversary of Reunion Celebrations Ended

This year, the 750th anniversary of the death of Mevlana, held under the theme of "Reunion Time," was completed with the "Seb-i Arus" program.

The program, which began with the recitation of the Quran at the Mevlana Cultural Center of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, continued with a discussion on the Masnavi by Prof. Dr. Mahmut Erol Kılıç, the General Director of the Research Center for Islamic History, Art, and Culture (IRCICA).

Speaking at the program, Uğur İbrahim Altay, the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, stated that Mevlana, who advocated that love is the most powerful weapon to eliminate hatred and separation, continues to shed light on humanity in these days filled with chaos and divisions around the world.

In the program, which was attended by many local and foreign guests, a Turkish Sufi Music concert was given by artist Ahmet Özhan, accompanied by the Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The program ended with the "Mevlevi Ayini Şerifi" of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Konya Turkish Sufi Music Ensemble.
