The Konya Turkish Sufi Music Ensemble held a Sema Ceremony at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall (CSO Ada Ankara).
Ömer Faruk Belviranlı, the Director General of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stated in a statement before the program that the Sema Ceremony, held annually during the Şeb-i Aruz ceremonies in Konya, was organized in Ankara this year due to high demand.
Belviranlı, expressing their happiness about meeting with art enthusiasts in Ankara, stated, "The Sema Ceremony is a developed expression of a deeply rooted and universal tradition that was founded around 800 years ago and has been included in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity."
The program, where the Konya Turkish Sufi Music Ensemble performed Buhurizade Mustafa Itri's "Segah Mevlevi Ayin-i Şerifi," was well-received by the audience.
The program was attended by Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Çiçek, as well as ambassadors from various countries.
