Swamini Samvidananda Saraswati, born in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, settled in Konya two years ago after receiving a “come” calling from Rumi in a dream.
She has spent much of her life as a monk, living in monasteries and caves. Today, she teaches philosophy and sacred texts to her students.
“Rumi’s Love Brought Me Here”
Saraswati said, “After seeing Mevlana in a dream about eight years ago, I decided to come to Konya to understand his wisdom and to grow spiritually. I first came in 2013, and year by year, I spent more and more time here—until I eventually settled down. Rumi’s love brought me here. I had no choice. I was overwhelmed by his love.”
“His Presence Is Still Powerful Here”
Saraswati expressed, “Every time I visit Rumi’s tomb, I feel something new and indescribable. This is the place where he once lived and taught. His spiritual presence is still as powerful here as it was in the 13th century. Rumi came to me in a dream, and my life changed completely after that. I immediately responded to his call and surrendered myself to him. My devotion and love for him grew naturally. His presence has had a profound impact on my life.”
