Another European Medal for Havva Sena

Athletes from Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club are competing successfully on the international stage.


Hava Sena Tokmak of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club added another medal to her collection at the Cadet European Cup, held in Berlin, the capital of Germany, as part of the European Judo Union (EJU) calendar.


Competing in the women’s 40 kg category, Hava Sena represented both Türkiye and Konya and secured a bronze medal after a series of tough bouts.


BRONZE MEDAL JOURNEY


The successful Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club athlete advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Assia Moussati of France in the round of 16.


After the quarterfinal stage, she continued her campaign through the repechage bracket, defeating Serra Pham of the Netherlands and Candela Costa Cabana of Spain to reach the bronze medal match.


In the bronze medal bout, she overcame fellow Turkish judoka Elçin Karakazan, finishing the European Cup in third place and securing the bronze medal.


THREE MEDALS IN TWO MONTHS


With this result in Berlin, the accomplished athlete claimed her third medal in the last two months while competing in the national colors.


In March, Hava Sena had also earned two bronze medals by finishing third at the Cadet European Judo Cups held in Teplice, Czechia, and Antalya.
