Four Medals for Karatay at the Wrestling Championship

 Karatay Belediyespor delivered an impressive performance at the U17 Yeşilay Turkish Wrestling Championship, held in Sivas as part of the 2025–2026 sports season, earning success in both the individual and team competitions.


The championship took place on June 24–25 at the Taha Akgül Sports Hall in Sivas. Competing in the Greco-Roman U17 men’s division, Karatay Belediyespor wrestlers represented their club with distinction, winning medals across multiple weight categories.


One Gold, One Silver and Two Bronze Medals


Karatay Belediyespor concluded the tournament with four medals and a second-place finish in the team standings.


Competing in the 48 kg category, Mustafa Kerem Karaköse defeated all of his opponents to claim the Turkish championship title and the gold medal.


In the 51 kg division, Mustafa Kenan Çelik secured a bronze medal by finishing third, while Abdullah Çakmak also claimed bronze in the 71 kg category. In the 92 kg division, Muhammed Talha Kurt advanced to the final and finished as the Turkish runner-up, earning the silver medal.

In addition to its individual achievements, Karatay Belediyespor also excelled in the overall team rankings. The club finished second in Türkiye with a total of 93 points, establishing itself as one of the country’s top clubs in the U17 Greco-Roman category.
