Havva Sena Brings Home Two Medals

Athletes from Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club are competing successfully on the international stage.

The Cadet European Cup, included in the activity program of the European Judo Union (EJU), was held on March 28–29 in Teplice, Czechia.

Competing in the women’s 40 kg category, Konya Metropolitan Municipality athlete Havva Sena Tokmak won a bronze medal, earning her second medal of March.

Representing both the country and her city in the national team jersey, Havva Sena advanced to the semifinals by defeating Emma Sarrail of France in the round of 16 and Anna Hryhorenko in the quarterfinals.

The successful athlete, who drew applause against her Ukrainian opponent Sofia Palamarenko, advanced to the bronze medal match. Havva Sena secured the bronze medal for her country by defeating Gabrielli Casola of Brazil.
