Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor has added another success to its growing list of achievements in cycling.
The 2026 Turkish Mountain Bike Championship, included in the Turkish Cycling Federation’s annual competition calendar, was held on the challenging natural trails of Cappadocia in Ürgüp, Nevşehir.
Cyclists from across Türkiye competed for the national title during the event.
The three-day championship brought together around 70 athletes and featured Short Track (XCC), Cross Country Olympic (XCO), and Eliminator (XCE) races, delivering exciting competition throughout.
Representing Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor in the Elite Men’s category, Ahmet Can Akpınar outperformed his rivals on the demanding course and crossed the finish line in first place.
With this result, Ahmet Can secured the Turkish championship title and claimed the gold medal.
Having earned recognition through its strong performances in national and international competitions in recent years, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor once again demonstrated its continued rise in cycling with this championship victory in Nevşehir.
