Karatay Hosts Major Robotics Event

 Robotics and technology excitement peaked for the third time in Karatay.


ROBOFEST KONYA, organized in cooperation with Karatay Municipality, the Karatay District Directorate of National Education, and Kılıçarslan Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, concluded with strong participation.


At the event, which aims to contribute to Türkiye’s “National Technology Initiative” vision, hundreds of students showcased their knowledge and skills through projects they developed. During the three-day competitions, young participants competed fiercely with robots they designed themselves.


Held at the Karatay Sports and Congress Center, the event became a meeting point for technology and innovation while hosting thrilling competitions. A total of 917 robots took to the field in contests organized across 13 different categories. The event brought together 1,580 students from 126 schools, with 357 teachers guiding them throughout the competitions.


Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca emphasized in his speech at the ROBOFEST KONYA final program that the projects presented by young participants are of great importance for Türkiye’s technology vision.


Following the protocol speeches, awards were presented to the students and instructors who ranked in 13 different categories at the three-day Karatay Robot Competition. The program concluded after the award ceremony.
