Çavuşçu Lake is one of the important wetland areas in Konya. Located in the Ilgın district at the foothills of the Sultan Mountains, the lake is part of the region’s natural landscape.
Çavuşçu Lake is especially known for its bird diversity. During migration periods, different bird species can be observed around the lake, while its reed beds provide shelter for many living creatures. In recent years, fluctuations in water levels have also been observed from time to time.
The area around the lake is closely connected with agricultural land. This makes it important for both local life and the natural balance of the region. Known as a quiet natural spot in Ilgın, the lake is also used for photography and nature observation.
