Derbent's Ski Center Nears 100 thousand Annual Visitors

Aladağ Ski Center, located in the Derbent district of Konya, 65 kilometers from the city center, aspires to rank among Turkey's top five ski destinations with its 30-kilometer track, excellent snow quality, and modern social facilities. Beyond its skiing appeal, the center captivates visitors with the region’s stunning natural beauty.

Aladağ in Konya, standing at an altitude of 2,385 meters, invites visitors to experience the thrill of skiing on its natural slopes. With ongoing developments at the ski center, guests can enjoy sledding and gliding through the pristine snow.

On weekends, Aladağ comes alive as young people, children, and the elderly gather to enjoy the slopes, often using sleds rented on-site.

Derbent Mayor Hüseyin Ayten expressed their goal of transforming Aladağ into a prominent alternative for winter tourism once ongoing investments are finalized.

"The number of annual visitors is nearing 100,000," Ayten stated, highlighting that, depending on weather conditions, the center can welcome up to 3,000 guests in a single day.
