Explore Balatini Cave in Konya!

The Balatini Cave is located within the borders of Çamlık Neighborhood of Derebucak district, a beautiful mountain settlement at the foot of the Taurus Mountains.

It is the longest cave in Konya, with a length of 1,850 meters and a height of 45 meters.

The cave is developed from two different levels, one on top of the other. The fossil branch surface of the upper level is completely covered with cave clay and ends with the Statue Room, filled with the little statues made by the visitors.

The lower level is the main gallery which contains the water. Balatini Cave is known for its speleothems, which are cave formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. The cave also has a number of underground lakes and waterfalls.

Balatini attracts the attention of mountaineers and nature lovers, as well as archaeologists and historians, due to the various formations, travertines, stalactites, stalagmites, giant plunge pools and interesting flora and fauna around it. This place has become the sacred place of cavers, in their own words, and many visitors come from abroad. Every year, cavers camp here, spend days, and enter the caves with their special clothes and equipment.
