German Couple Camps at Meke Lake

German Couple Camps at Meke Lake

German tourists visited Meke Lake, located in Konya's Karapınar district.

Meke Lake, one of the natural beauties in the district, is one of the most visited places due to its easy accessibility. Tourists, particularly from France, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, often visit the lake.

Tourists visiting Meke Lake, despite the lake's drying up, enjoy watching the sunset and sunrise while taking plenty of photos.

The German couple visiting the lake camped by the shore and spent their time freely. Engineer Manuel Bührer and teacher Sophie Bührer enjoyed the experience of camping at Meke Lake.

The Bührer couple said, "We started our tour in August, visiting the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Greece, and now Turkey. We will return to Germany by the end of January. We arrived in Turkey at the beginning of December and traveled along the Mediterranean coast as far as Alanya. We love the landscapes in Turkey, especially those in Central Anatolia. Meke Lake was also very impressive. Camping here and watching the sunset and sunrise gave us a unique pleasure. We had seen the lake online before, and its formation seemed very interesting. It's also great that it remains natural."
