Beysehir Lake, known as a popular vacation spot, has
recently been attracting the attention of tourists for its increasing
population of seagulls. The shores of the lake have been flooded with flocks of
seagulls, creating an interesting and unique sight for both local and foreign
tourists. As winter approaches, the sounds of seagulls have become increasingly
louder.
A large number of flocks of birds flocked to the shores of
Beyşehir Lake were displayed. Bekir Sami Tan, president of the Beyşehir Union,
Lake, Environment and Nature Conservation Association, told reporters that
Beyşehir Lake is home to a large number of birds of different species. Tan
stated that they observed an increase in the bird population in Beyşehir Lake
and said: "With the arrival of winter on the shores of Beyşehir Lake, bird
chirping sounds started to rise even louder. We observe that a large number of
bird species are flocking to coastal areas. The most striking of these is the
seagulls in Beyşehir Lake, whose population has increased in recent years. The
seagulls, which are seen collectively on the shallow surface waters on the
coast, have a special interest in Beyşehir and local and foreign visitors.
As our citizens throw the pieces of bread they bring with them to the seagulls,
the chirping sounds on the shores become louder. Seagulls compete with each
other to grab the discarded pieces of bread. While the race of flocks of birds
to grab bread in the air causes interesting moments, visitors take photos of
these moments and share them on their social media accounts."
