Meram Vineyards, which have an important position in Konya tourism and which Evliya Çelebi praised in his Travelogue, were revived. While Konya's famous Meram Vineyards have re-sprouted and regained their former glory on 18 thousand square meters of idle land, an important route that local and foreign tourists can visit after Mevlana Museum has been determined with Meram Vineyards.

Meram Municipality, which revived the historical Meram Vineyards, boiled molasses in giant cauldrons in the new Meram Vineyard created on 18 thousand square meters of idle land as the winter months approached.

In Meram Vineyard, which was opened in Meram district of Konya, the must, which was obtained from the grapes collected after the vintage harvest in order to keep the traditions alive, was boiled in copper cauldrons over a wood fire.

While the molasses was boiling, first of all, the foam on the wort was eaten with a taste accompanied by mulberry leaves. Molasses made after a laborious labor were offered to the citizens at the opening of Meram Vineyard.

Meram's skilful women also cheered the palate with cheese, tahini, potato and minced meat squeeze and sheet pastry that they opened with their hands.

The Meram Vineyard is waiting for its visitors with its stone house containing 200 fruit trees, 20 adult trees and thousands of grape seedlings and identified with Meram.
