Sakaltutan Cave is a vertical cave located in the Seydişehir district of Konya Province, Turkey.
It is one of the deepest caves in Turkey, with a depth of 303 meters (994 feet). The cave is known for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites, as well as its underground lake.
The cave was first explored in 1986 by a team of Turkish cavers. They named the cave "Sakal Tutan" (Turkish for "beard-holder") because of the stalactites that hang from the ceiling of the cave, which resemble beards.
The cave is open to visitors, but it is only recommended for experienced cavers. The cave is a wet cave, and the passages can be slippery. Visitors must be prepared to climb and rappel.
If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding caving experience, Sakal Tutan Cave is a great option.
