Selçuklu Welcomes More Than 100,000 Visitors During Eid Holiday

Selçuklu’s landmark attractions, which make a significant contribution to Konya’s tourism sector, once again drew strong interest from visitors during the extended Eid holiday.


Selçuklu’s popular attractions welcomed a surge of visitors during the nine day Eid holiday. The Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, Selçuklu Observation Hill, Sille Dam Park, and local museums hosted more than 100,000 visitors throughout the holiday period.


The Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, Sille Dam Park, Selçuklu Observation Hill, Sille, and the district’s museums, where nature and urban life come together, welcomed visitors who traveled to Konya for the Eid holiday and those taking advantage of the extended break. During the nine day holiday period, Selçuklu hosted a total of 104,670 visitors.


One of the most visited attractions in Konya after the Mevlana Museum, the Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden offered holidaymakers the opportunity to witness the extraordinary life cycle of butterflies during the Eid holiday. Home to numerous butterfly species in a natural habitat, the garden also features thousands of plants from a wide variety of species. During the holiday period, 32,616 visitors experienced the garden’s unique atmosphere and unforgettable sights.


Sille Dam Park, which showcases the many colors and landscapes of nature in Selçuklu, also attracted large numbers of visitors during the Eid holiday. Offering guests a chance to enjoy fresh air and a peaceful natural setting, the park became one of the most popular destinations of the holiday period, welcoming 35,398 visitors.


Another favorite attraction, Selçuklu Observation Hill, was visited by 25,262 people during the holiday break.


Meanwhile, the historic Sille Neighborhood, with its thousands of years of heritage, along with the Aya Eleni Museum, Sille Museum, and Time Museum, ranked among the most visited sites, hosting a total of 11,394 guests.
