Sugla Lake is one of Konya’s natural treasures and a rare lake in Central Anatolia. It is approximately 7–8 kilometers long and 3–4 kilometers wide, providing an important habitat for migratory and water birds. The lake is especially popular among birdwatchers during the autumn and spring seasons.
The surroundings of the lake are mostly agricultural fields and natural meadows. Its water level varies depending on seasonal rainfall; it may shrink in summer and expand during winter and spring. The area around the lake also offers suitable spots for walking and photography.
Susla Lake is an ecologically sensitive area, so protective measures are in place. Visitors are encouraged to respect nature and avoid causing any harm to the environment.
