With the geothermal heated technological greenhouse investment in Konya, 1000 people, almost all of whom are women, will be employed in the region. Yedi Yol Holding brand Agrotermal Seracılık has put into operation the 50 thousand square meter first phase of its one million square meter giant geothermal heated technological greenhouse investment in Konya Tuzlukçu. While the giant project aims to provide employment to 1000 people in the region in the first stage, almost all of the employment will consist of women and will support regional development.
HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS WITH MINIMUM WATER
The project also enables the production of high quality and healthy products with minimum water consumption. The investment project, which makes a significant contribution to the country’s economy in terms of the current account deficit due to its production and export intensity, can produce for 12 months regardless of seasonal conditions.
FIRST SEEDLINGS
The first seedlings of the 50 thousand square meter area, which is the first phase of the project, were planted. Konya Tuzlukçu District Governor Eyyüp Tuğ, at the seedling planting ceremony he attended, stated that he believes that thanks to this investment, the region will become the centre of the world in terms of agricultural exports and will provide tremendous support for regional development.
Muhammet Şuheyp Mendi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yediyol Holding, said in his speech: “With this major investment, we want to become the power source for a Turkey that will shake the throne of the Netherlands in agricultural exports by making the Konya Tuzlukçu region the geothermal heated technological greenhouse centre of the world.”
