The work is progressing rapidly at the "Meram City andLiving Culture Museum," a project designed by the Meram District Municipality in the center of Konya with the aim of preserving the district's history and culture, transmitting it tofuture generations, and contributing to tourism.
President Mustafa Kavuş, who examined the work at themuseum where all aspects of Meram and Konya culture willbe showcased, stated, "Visitors to our museum will not onlysee and learn about the city's culture with the assistance of guides but also have the opportunity to experience it firsthand."
The Meram City and Living Culture Museum, which will be established in the district by Meram Municipality, is rapidlytaking shape. Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş, who examinedthe progress on-site and gathered information about theprocess, announced that the construction would be completedin a short time, and the museum would be open for visitorsbefore the end of summer.
After conducting inspections in the project area, Mayor Kavuş provided information about the museum, emphasizing thatthey would transmit the authentic Konya and Meram livingculture, preserved for centuries, to future generations. MayorMustafa Kavuş stated that they have developed a museumproject with an ethnographic focus, and they named it the"Meram City and Living Culture Museum" to reflect itspurpose.
Mayor Kavuş stated, "With the Meram City and LivingCulture Museum, our aim is to strengthen the bond betweengenerations and allow visitors to experience art, history, andcultural elements. We will narrate and showcase everythingfrom how our people lived, how they raised their children, their kitchen and culinary culture, and the customs andtraditions from henna nights to weddings. In essence, we willnot only tell the history and culture of Meram but also depictand experience it firsthand, all with the assistance of guides."
