Konya’s Golden Touches Festival Draws Over 184,000 Visitors

The 17th Golden Touches Festival, organized this year under the theme “Silk Road” by the Vocational Training Courses of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, attracted strong public interest.

Uğur İbrahim Altay, Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, said that the festival held at the Selçuklu Congress Center has become one of Konya’s leading cultural and artistic events.

Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said: “Our festival featured an exhibition showcasing works from a wide range of traditional handicrafts, from marbling and calligraphy to tel kırma embroidery and felt-making, from carpet and kilim weaving to wood painting. Between December 7 and 17, we organized various events, talks, concerts, and workshops for all segments of society, especially children. We were delighted to share the enthusiasm of the 184,041 visitors who attended our festival, which we organized for the 17th time this year. I would like to thank all our visitors and everyone who contributed to the exhibition and events.”
