Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Remembered with Grand Events in Konya

Poet Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, one of the most significant figures in our idea and literature life in the last century, is being commemorated on the 40th anniversary of his passing through various events.

On the 40th anniversary of the passing of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, an eminent figure in our literature and intellectual life, a commemorative program titled 'Anatolian School: Remembering Necip Fazıl Kısakürek on the 40th Anniversary of His Passing' is being held under the auspices of Selçuklu Municipality, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education, and Anatolian School.

The program, which begins with an opening panel at Selçuklu Congress Center, will continue for 4 eventful days. Panels, conferences, a photography exhibition, concerts, poetry recitals, and author meetings focusing on the life and works of Necip Fazıl will take place in the program where writers, teachers, and students from 13 different cities in Turkey will come together. In addition, a city-culture tour will be organized.

The opening speeches at the inauguration program highlighted the significant role that Poet Necip Fazıl played in the realms of ideas, art, and action throughout his life.

As part of the commemoration program, a concert will be held at Selçuklu Congress Center, where the artist Uğur Işılak will perform musical compositions of Necip Fazıl's poetry.
