Konya Numune Hospital Served Nearly Half a Million Patients in Three Months

The Konya Numune Hospital 2024 First Quarter Evaluation Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Koç.

During the meeting, attended by all hospital administrators, clinical responsible physicians, and nurses along with the Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Ekrem Akkurt, the healthcare services provided at Numune Hospital were discussed with statistical data.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Koç stated, "During the three-month period, the emergency department provided healthcare services to 110,523 citizens. Additionally, 325,413 patients received outpatient clinic services at Numune Hospital during the same period. In total, healthcare services were provided to 435,936 patients."

Prof. Dr. Koç also emphasized that Konya Numune Hospital is the only public hospital performing corneal transplantation. He said, "Extremely challenging surgeries are successfully performed at our hospital. Within the three-month period, a total of 10,293 surgeries were performed, including 4,512 specialized surgeries."
