The Tomb of Seyfeddin Karasungur is situated in the downtown Çifte Merdiven neighborhood of Konya. This two-story monument boasts an octagonal structure mounted on an octagonal base and is topped with an inner dome and an outer pyramidal roof.
The main entrance originally faced east, but today it has been replaced with a new entrance on the west side, featuring a window. The original entrance was located within a deep niche, crowned with a pointed arch and bordered by a tall rectangular frame. The upper octagonal floor supports a dome that sits on squinches. Each facade's upper section features a slender rectangular window. Inside, there is a single cenotaph.
The crypt floor is currently inaccessible due to earth fill. The materials used in the construction of the monument include stone, brick, and marble. The original entrance is adorned with marble. The dome, pyramidal roof, and their bases, as well as the corners of the octagon, are constructed using bricks. The rectangular windows on the exterior are faced with dressed stones, some of which are engraved with arches over the windows and geometric designs in other areas. Internally, the lower sections of the walls were built with rubble, while the upper sections consist of brick.
Although lacking an inscription, the monument is believed to date back to the last quarter of the thirteenth century, based on the death year of Sayf al-Din Karasungur (after 1275).
