The Karatay Lavender Garden, established by Karatay Municipality in the Karaaslan Üzümcü Neighborhood, has opened its gates for the new season. Since its opening, the garden has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors and has become one of Konya’s leading tourist attractions. This summer, it once again invites guests to experience its fragrant lavender fields and picturesque natural setting.
Created to make productive use of idle agricultural land and promote alternative crops, the Karatay Lavender Garden contributes to agricultural production while also serving as a popular recreational destination. With its decorative landscapes, peaceful atmosphere, and dedicated photography areas, the garden offers visitors an enjoyable outdoor experience and attracts thousands of people each year.
The 5th Traditional Karatay Lavender Days, organized by Karatay Municipality, will take place from July 3 to 5, 2026, bringing three days of festival celebrations to the lavender fields. The event will feature booths hosted by local and national lavender producers, along with stands offering regional delicacies.
Throughout the festival, children will receive complimentary ice cream, cotton candy, and popcorn, while a variety of stage performances will be held throughout the day. The program includes concerts, competitions, theater performances, film screenings, and entertainment featuring magicians, jugglers, and clowns, offering activities for visitors of all ages.
