Secret of Flavor: Cheeses Matured in Caves in Konya

The first harvest of cheese produced in the Akpınar Cave in Konya, thanks to the efforts of the Selçuklu Municipality, was carried out.



The "First Harvest from Cheese Bags" program, part of efforts to increase production in rural neighborhoods, was carried out with the participation of Selçuklu Municipality Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı at the Akpınar Cave.



Women producers who produce cheese in bags at Akpınar Cave in Konya are contributing to their household economies while also supporting organic production.



Selçuklu Municipality Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, along with protocol members and press representatives, witnessed the on-site harvest of cheese produced from skimmed milk, left in special caves to mature and develop flavor in its natural environment.
