Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor national taekwondo athlete Emine Rana Adıgüzel won a bronze medal at the European Clubs Taekwondo Championships, finishing third in Europe.
Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor represented both Türkiye and Konya at the European Clubs Taekwondo Championships held in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where 2,257 athletes competed.
Competing in the girls’ under-41 kg category at one of the largest club tournaments with G1 status organized by the European Taekwondo Union (ETU), Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor athlete Emine Rana Adıgüzel drew attention with her impressive performances throughout the championship.
Emine Rana began her campaign by defeating Italy’s Isabel Lutfi in the opening round before overcoming Croatia’s Nikolina Ivanovic in the second round.
She then secured a victory over fellow Turkish athlete Eylül Akgöl in the third round and advanced to the semifinals after defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Hatidza Banjanovic in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinal, Emine Rana Adıgüzel faced Russian athlete Vladislava Prutskova and ultimately finished the tournament in third place, earning the bronze medal.
