Cyclist Mustafa Tarakçı of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club made Konya proud by winning the white jersey at the 61st Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye.
The 61st Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, featuring 23 teams and 161 cyclists from 27 countries, is bringing some of the strongest teams and star riders of world cycling together in Türkiye from April 26 to May 3, along a route stretching from Çeşme to Ankara.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club is also competing in the prestigious race, which hosts some of the world’s top cyclists, with a squad of seven riders. Mustafa Tarakçı, representing the club, achieved a significant success after starting the 130-kilometer Marmaris–Fethiye fourth stage in second place in the “Beauties of Türkiye” classification.
The successful cyclist claimed the white jersey after crossing the intermediate sprint point at the 58th kilometer in first place. He will start the fifth stage of the race wearing the white jersey.
Mustafa Tarakçı will aim to retain this prestigious jersey through to the final stage of the 61st Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye.
